A few simple thoughts.
I apologize for not posting in awhile. Things seem to get crazy in an instant. There's no rhyme or reason to anything, just the same as anyone else. I can't believe how time flies, how fast my kids grow, the things they learn, the memories we make, good and bad, the trials that we all go through and the joy that we can receive from every bit of it. I keep thinking of the way things are going and then it makes we worry about the way things are going to be in the future. It is my turn to give the lesson in Relief Society this week and I can't tell you how much prayer and thought went into what I was supposed to teach. I could not get the word FAITH out of my head. So guess what, that is what I chose for my topic. Faith and how to endure our trials. It has been so humbling to study this and try to think of how we as RS sisters and sister of the gospel have to stay so strong and work together in order for us to make it. We were chosen for these days and knew that we would be able to handle the trials that would be placed in front of us. I can't tell you how strongly I believe that our Faith in our Savior and our Heavenly Father will lead us to the path of righteousness. We have to stay strong and immovable. There is a saying in the lesson I prepared that was out of the Ensign that says, " Everything in life can shift, change, or leave, but our Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost never change. We do not know the meaning of all things, but we can be sure that he loveth his children. " We can not comprehend the blessings that we will receive if we will endure to the end. Our challenge is to remember why we are here: to work out our salvation, alone or married, childless or with a house full of children, to shout for joy and then to work at being joyful, to remember that the Lord stands ready to succor us through the Holy Ghost. He will go before us and be on our right hand and on our left. I know this post was more for me because as I studied my lesson I have read so many wonderful things that give us hope. I hope that each of us can remind ourselves of the importance of life and what we really are supposed to be doing. Make it a challenge and go at it in full force. Thank you for listening to my thoughts as I put them in writing for me to remember. I hope I did not totally bore you.
